YUNGBLUD has revealed that the second part of his planned Idols double-album will be released “imminently”.

In a new interview on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast, Dominic Harrison says of wanting to follow-up last year’s global smash sooner rather than later: “It feels right. I didn’t know if people would get this album, and we got two GRAMMY nominations for it [Best Rock Album, and Best Rock Song for Zombie], so it’s like, ‘Wow.’ In America we sold out our tour within a minute, and [there’s a] global arena tour. I was like, ‘Wow, people really love this.’ It’s a real big lesson to me to really just make something for myself and try my very best to create an adventure.”

Teasing what’s to come from this second instalment in his hugely successful Idols era, he explains how part one was about “self-reclamation and flying, learning how to get your wings”, while this next release is “the real realism — how do you live in the real world as this person you’ve discovered? It’s a little bit more cynical.”

Intriguingly, he adds that the record is opened up by an “amazing song” called I Need You To Make The World Seem Fine – and given part one was kickstarted by the nine-minute masterpiece that is Hello Heaven, Hello, we’re particularly excited to hear that one…
