Following a December interview in which they pondered their future, Paramore are… well, they’re certainly up to something alright.

The band have just cancelled their first planned show of 2024, after deleting everything on their social media accounts along with their official website a few days prior.

A brief statement regarding the gig – which would have been headlining ALTer Ego Fest at Anaheim’s Honda Center next weekend – simply reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore can no longer attend and perform at iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13. The band apologises for any inconvenience.”

Good news, though! They’re being replaced by the always-amazing Fall Out Boy.

Anyway, while some fans are worrying over a potential hiatus or break-up, Zac Farro recently told Uproxx of Paramore’s current trajectory: “I just hope we can keep building the Paramore empire and then rule the world.” The publication themselves did add that the band have ‘now fulfilled all label obligations and are effectively free agents’, and that ‘all three members agreed that there’s a level of uncertainty’.

Keep your eyes peeled…
