After Poppy tackled Wham!’s Last Christmas yesterday, Fall Out Boy are now also getting in on the festive action this week.

The Chicago pop-punk kings have covered It Feels Like Christmas from 1992’s brilliant The Muppet Christmas Carol for the Spotify Singles Holiday series. “Muppets Christmas Carol is possibly the greatest adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic story,” FOB write on social media, alongside footage of them putting it together in the studio. “We always loved the music and we had a blast getting to put our stamp on a version of it.”

Of course, this isn’t the band’s first attempt at Christmas music: Fall Out Boy released their own – much less cheery – holiday song on 2009’s Believers Never Die greatest hits album, Yule Shoot Your Eye Out (‘Don’t come home for Christmas / You’re the last thing I want to see / Underneath the tree / Merry Christmas, I could care less’).
