YUNGBLUD: “I made a f*cking rock opera double album”
Having been busy putting together the line-up for next year’s Bludfest, YUNGBLUD has revealed he’s also been working on music that “looks like it’s going to be a double album”.
Looks like a WILLOW and YUNGBLUD collab is on the way…
After floating the idea of working together on Radio 1’s The YUNGBLUD Podcast back in July, it appears as though a WILLOW and YUNGBLUD collaboration is now officially happening.
The pair were spotted last week backstage at WILLOW's triumphant London headline show (see that below), and are now seemingly in the studio together working on new music. Both musicians have taken to their Instagram stories to share photos of themselves together, while WILLOW also posted an extra snap of YUNGBLUD sat by a mixing console and holding a guitar.
Earlier this week, Avril Lavigne shared that she had also recently collaborated (again) with WILLOW for her upcoming pop-punk album.
"I worked with Willow Smith, and it's great to see somebody like her, another female, in this genre at the moment killing it," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"There are a few other features, some iconic musicians that have been around for like 20 years ago or more, and then some more newer, more recent musicians," she added of the record. "Having all these features on the record has been really fun. I've been working with such a cool group of people from this scene, so there's just a lot of new and fresh energy on this album. I'm really honoured to have worked with and to have collaborated with such talented people and successful musicians that I admire."
