Following 2022’s seventh album The End, So Far, Slipknot hopefully appear to be in a good spot when it comes to new music – their first with their latest recruit Eloy Casagrande.

In an interview with Drummer’s Review – which you can watch below – Eloy confirms that “we are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure”. While he doesn’t give any specifics or timelines, he continues: “Since I joined the band, we have been working on some new ideas. We keep exchanging guitar riffs, drum beats, so we are always doing something. We had also some jam sessions.

“So, we have a lot of material right now. We just have to sit and put everything together, start jamming, and it’s happening. It already happened. It’s gonna happen in the future. So new material is coming, for sure.”

In May 2024, after announcing that Eloy was joining the ranks, the band revealed that they’d written a new song entitled Long May You Die. The following month, Clown said that material was coming “really soon”.

“I can say that there’s gonna be music sooner than you can imagine, delivered to you in a way you can’t imagine,” he told Revolver. “And I’m excited because we’re not on a label. And there’s a lot of dismay with that, you know what I mean? But there’s also a lot of middle fingers with that. I love it, you know? Come and get us, or we'll come to get you!”
