Ah, the couture fashion of New Jersey horror-punk.

The Misfits Team Up With John Varvatos For New Merch Line

These days, major fashion designers and high-end clothing lines teaming up with punk and metal bands has become sort of a tradition. Even dark, satanic bands like Slayer and Cradle Of Filth have gotten in on the act, collaborating with or lending their logo to couture fashion companies. Now, horror-punk legends The Misfits have gotten in on the act, releasing a new merch line with rock-oriented designer John Varvatos.

As you'll see, the Misfits' new clothing line goes simple and pricy. Included in it are a $500 "field jacket" with the Misfits logo on the front and back, a $150 bowling shirt with no discernible logo, a $118 T-shirt with the Misfits logo on the front and the Crimson Ghost on the back, and the pièce de résistance, a $1,000 leather jacket featuring the Crimson Ghost logo on it.

If you are the rare Misfits fan with a thousand bucks lying around, you now know where to buy your next jacket.

It's interesting to see that the Misfits have become iconic enough to warrant their own high-end merch line, but the band's recent reunion shows have obviously elevated them in the eyes of the public. Not only that, but bassist Jerry Only says he feels young again these days.

"I feel so much more energized than ever," Jerry told Kerrang! back in 2016. "For the first time in my life, I am semi-retired from the machine shop, just to work out all day. We rehearse for hours and I am working on writing new songs that are inspired by what’s going on. I believe in the program we’ve been running. I believe the program I’ve been running has brought us to this point. I believe the program I am working on at the moment will bring me to the biggest band in the world. It’s an idea whose time has come.”
