System Of A Down’s previously-announced stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones have already sold out, with the band adding second nights in each city.
Listen to Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman take on the Misfits classic…
Members of Avenged Sevenfold have unleashed an absolutely ace cover of Misfits’ Astro Zombies.
As is now something of a tradition for the trio in the lead-up to Halloween, guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman have shared their love of Misfits (and all things spooky) by this time tackling the 1982 Walk Among Us classic – after doing Hybrid Moments in 2021, and Last Caress last year.
“It’s that time of year where Zacky, Johnny and Brooks transform into fiends to bring you a new take on a classic Misfits song,” they write. “Enjoy?”
Not unsurprisingly, it’s certainly a more straightforward sound from A7X following their absolutely wild album Life Is But A Dream… earlier in the year.
In our 4/5 review, we said that the record was “a trip worth taking, over and over again”, and praised LIBAD… for being “damn good. Crazily so. In the process of shedding any lingering preconceptions about genre, consistency and the basic rules of songwriting, the Huntington Beach boys haven’t just made an album that’s more out-there than any they’ve put their name to before – they’ve delivered a set of songs that are simply far more fun.”
