With last year’s announcement of their 2025 Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour, many thought that My Chemical Romance might be beginning to tease a new album on top of that.

And now, a few months down the line, guitarist Frank Iero has responded to a question about a potential follow-up to 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, while promoting the excellent second L.S. Dunes record, Violet.

Speaking to NME, Frank replies, “No, sorry,” when asked if there’s ‘anything to report’ in terms of new material from the New Jersey emo legends, adding that, “When that stuff – if that stuff were to happen, we will tell you. We will tell you in the way we want to tell you.”

The six-stringer is also asked about the Long Live The Black Parade run potentially crossing the pond and hitting UK venues one day – but again, he’s also keeping his lips pretty sealed.

“It’s been long-documented that we are huge fans of the UK – this is a home away from home for us,” Frank says. “We’ve done things where the first place we played for a record release was the UK. It’s always felt like a place that we love and that we hold very dear. But, to tell the future? It would be remiss to do that.”
