Hayley Williams celebrates her 78-year-old grandfather releasing his debut album
Out now via Zac Farro’s Congrats Records, Hayley Williams’ grandfather Rusty is “putting his music into the world for the first time” on debut album Grand Man.
Paramore’s Hayley Williams joined Deftones onstage in Nashville last night to help sing 2003 single Minerva – watch fan-shot footage of the performance now.
Still in the midst of an incredible U.S. headline run – and with another North American leg still to come later in the year – Deftones took things up another level in Nashville last night (March 26).
At the Bridgestone Arena, the band invited local superstar – and Paramore singer – Hayley Williams out during the encore to lend her vocals to Minerva, the lead single from Deftones’ 2003 self-titled album.
Though Paramore have no tour dates on the horizon, Hayley has been making various surprise appearances lately. As well as joining Chino Moreno and co. onstage yesterday, she performed crushcrushcrush with FINNEAS in February, and played with Ken Andrews at the G*VE A F*CK LA benefit show. She also recently hinted that she might play some solo gigs in 2025, honouring her two pandemic albums Petals For Armor (2020) and Flowers For Vases / Descansos (2021).
Until then, check out fan-shot footage of Minerva below – and perhaps keep your eyes peeled in case she pops up on another stage soon?!
Deftones will be back in the UK this summer, headlining Halifax’s The Piece Hall and the Eden Sessions in St. Austell, along with a sold-out date at London’s Crystal Palace Park on June 29. They will also appear at Glastonbury.
