IDLES drop new POP POP POP remix featuring Danny Brown
After performing POP POP POP with Danny Brown at Glastonbury over the summer, IDLES have just unleashed a new remix featuring the Detroit rap icon.
IDLES will be playing a double-whammy of shows at Bristol’s Queen Square next August – which is the first time in 20 years that the venue has ‘opened its doors to a major music event’.
IDLES have just announced their first – and apparently only – UK shows of 2025.
The Bristol favourites will be returning to their hometown for two nights at Queen Square on Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2.
“We are coming home,” says frontman Joe Talbot. “We’re putting on a couple parties in Queen Square with music we love for the people we love. All is love.”
This’ll be the first time Queen Square has hosted a major music event in over two decades, according to a press release, with IDLES tasked with ‘re-igniting’ this spot along with a ‘stellar line-up of very special guests, incredible live acts and DJs, which will be different each night’.
“We cannot wait to bring this event to Queen Square,” enthuse Daniel Ealam and Scott O’Neill, promoters at Communion ONE. “It’s a space that’s right at the heart of the city which already brings some unforgettable communal experiences to the community and partnering with IDLES, a band that embodies the spirit and resilience of Bristol, makes this even more significant for us.
“We love Bristol and everything that it represents so it’s important to us that we curate a new event with the people and the fans at the forefront. And let’s face it, Bristol in the summer – you just can’t beat it.”
