Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson has just shared a video from the hospital after experiencing “an explosion in my face”.
Updated story:
Slipknot have shared the following statement: “Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body. He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend. He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon.”
Original story:
In the last couple of hours, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson has taken to Instagram to share a video update from the hospital, following what he describes as “an explosion in my face”.
In a five-minute-long clip that sees the DJ showing his injuries and getting treated, he announces, “Hi everybody… My face is burned, and my cheeks… I had an explosion in my face.”
Sid adds that, “I’m okay – I’m gonna be okay… But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms.”
Trying to hold up his phone to film himself while shaking, he says that he’s “singed everywhere – my eyebrows are singed, my mouth is blistered… both my arms are pretty bad.”
It’s not clear yet exactly what happened, but with Slipknot currently on a short break amidst their Here Comes The Pain anniversary tour in North America (which kicks back off again on September 1), Sid adds that, “I don’t care what it takes, I will see you on tour.”
