Knotfest Australia to take “short break” next year, returning in 2027
Knotfest-goers down under won’t be getting a festival in 2026 – but the following year promises to be “the best Knotfest Australia yet”.

In October, Slipknot gave fans a glimpse of the gruesome horrors that lurked behind the doors of the Slaughterhouse, a special event which took place in Des Moines ' Barnum Factory throughout October.
“This is a whole other world,” said Slaughterhouse owner Ian Miller during the exhibit's launch. “It’s a walkthrough cinematic experience and at the Slaughterhouse, the people are the pigs. It’s the ultimate nightmare come true.”
And now the band have released a chilling short video of the experience, which features actors, Slipknot memorabilia and grisly props to bring the Iowa nonet's terrifying visions to life.

The band are currently working on their follow-up to their 2014 album, .5 The Gray Chapter, which is set for release next year.
