Sleep Token’s latest single Caramel has earned the band their highest placement so far in the UK charts.

The hugely emotional latest offering from their upcoming fourth album Even In Arcadia has landed in the current Official Singles Chart at a very impressive Number 10, behind the likes of Alex Warren (Ordinary), Chappell Roan (Pink Pony Club), Ed Sheeran (Azizam) and Doechii (Anxiety).

Via the Official Charts, Sleep Token’s first Even In Arcadia single – the mind-bending Emergence – was their highest entry before Caramel, coming in at Number 17 just a few weeks ago. And as the charts team themselves say, this is a “watershed moment for one of the most exciting (and mysterious) rock acts in the country right now”.

Caramel’s success is arguably all the more extraordinary given its powerfully honest subject matter, with Vessel singing about some of the apparent negativities of Sleep Token’s rise: ‘I try not to talk about how it’s harder now / Can I get a mirror side-stage? / Looking sideways at my own visage, gettin’ worse / Every time they try to shout my real name just to get a rise from me / Acting like I’m never stressed out by the hearsay…’

Both Caramel and Emergence are taken from Sleep Token’s new album Even In Arcadia – the follow-up to 2023’s Take Me Back To Eden – which is due out on May 9 via RCA Records.
