Watch Billie Joe Armstrong perform with Sex Pistols at Norway’s Tons Of Rock
See Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong join Sex Pistols for Anarchy In The U.K. at Norway fest Tons Of Rock yesterday.
Sex Pistols and Frank Carter’s forthcoming touring plans have been put on hold as Steve Jones waits to be able to play guitar again “in the not-too-distant future”.
Sex Pistols and Frank Carter have postponed their North and South America tour.
The punk heroes were set to hit the road from September 16, but have unfortunately had to delay their plans as Steve Jones has broken his wrist.
“I’ve got some good news and bad news,” posted the guitarist yesterday (September 2) on Instagram. “What do you want first? Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won’t be doing any shows for a while.
“The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.”
The band added: “The performances will be postponed and rescheduled when Steve has fully recovered. Please check local venue websites and our social media for more information. We appreciate your understanding and support.”
Today, September 3, Steve is celebrating his birthday, and says that, “70s was the best decade, musically, artistically, originality, punk, disco prog rock, glam rock, proper songwriting best sounding records even the weather is best in the 70s. Hopefully, I won’t be out of action for too long onward and upwards.”
Happy birthday, Steve, and all the best with your recovery!
