Original story: One of us! Metal fans are absolutely loving a new video of Lizzo singing Rammstein’s Du Hast while onstage in Germany.

The pop superstar’s Special Tour hit Hamburg recently, and she clearly very happily got into the spirit of things by singing some of the German heavy legends’ Sehnsucht classic – with a video of the moment now going viral on TikTok.

Posted by @jacquelinekirchhoff, the caption to the charming clip explains how Lizzo had “just learned how to say ‘oma’, that’s why she incorporated it” – and as you’ll see, she does indeed add her own brilliant touch to Du Hast, singing the iconic lyrics ‘du hast mich’ with an ‘oma’ (which means ‘grandma’) thrown in for good measure.

Unsurprisingly, many fans are now calling for a proper collab (“Just imagine her and Till onstage together I bet it would be hilarious,” commented Amber on TikTok), and with Lizzo also responding to the viral video with a cheery “Hi” we’re hoping she’ll give the people what they never even knew they needed.

Lizzo is no stranger to music from the alternative world – a while back, she joined in with the King For A Day trend on TikTok.

Speaking to Kerrang! about going viral, Pierce The Veil’s Vic Fuentes laughed: “God, that was just one of the craziest things of my life. I don’t know how that happened, but I’m so appreciative that it did, because it was really amazing – I was watching it snowball into new things, and it was just incredible. I think it all really culminated or peaked when Lizzo posted the trend. I remember waking up with my wife, getting out of bed, and being like, ‘What the fuck? Fucking Lizzo?! This is crazy!’
