Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
From Star Wars to SpongeBob to the size of his neck, The Great Big Mouth responds to his fans sh*t-talking him over text…
Because he recently released a single called Talk Sick, Corey Taylor has invited his fans to do exactly that to him in a fun new video.
Given that his nickname is The Great Big Mouth, it’s no surprise that Corey can handle it all and give back just as good as he gets, with the Slipknot frontman light-heartedly replying to fans in the clip below – in a similar vein to Jimmy Kimmel’s beloved Mean Tweets segment – who’ve sent in texts winding him up about everything from Star Wars to The Beatles, to the size of his famously large neck.
“I haven’t seen any of these,” he says at the start, “I have no idea what the fuck is coming my way so this should be good. And I’m really glad I’m doing this hours before a show; this is gonna be good for my ego…”
Of course, this is Corey, and his ego seems to stay relatively in tact. However, he does invite even more submissions, so if you fancy playfully poking at the metal hero, drop him a text on +1 702-766-6112 as he says he may respond to more for a future clip.
Corey’s new solo album CMF2 is due out on September 15 via Decibel Cooper / BMG.
