Original story, January 10: Last night, Bring Me The Horizon kicked off their highly-anticipated UK arena tour – and along with a killer setlist, they treated fans to a live collab with Noah Sebastian.
With Bad Omens joining Horizon as main support (along with Static Dress and Cassyette), the frontman joined Oli Sykes and co. onstage at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on January 9 to rage through Sempiternal favourite Antivist. Naturally, the crowd – along with all the people who weren’t there and have since seen it on the internet – lost their minds.
Recently chatting to Kerrang! about Bad Omens’ early comparisons to Bring Me, Noah agreed, “I totally understand it. The vocal style I was doing before sounded a lot like Oli, and we were inspired by them musically.”
He also explained that these days, Bad Omens look to Bring Me The Horizon for “the mindset, rather than the music itself. It’s being fearless, not caring about genres or being confined to what rock and metal is doing right now. It’s doing your own thing and making a sound of your own – that, to me, is how we’re now inspired by them.”
