Judas Priest announce North American Invincible Shield tour with Sabaton
Judas Priest are heading back to North America for the second leg of their Invincible Shield run, and they’re bringing along the mighty Sabaton.
Sabaton are back with their ninth album The Great War
Swedish metallers Sabaton have announced details of their new album The Great War.
Sabaton's upcoming ninth studio album is due to be released on July 19 through Nuclear Blast Records, and takes its primary inspiration from the First World War. In fact, the band started the recording process on 11 November 2018, exactly 100 years after World War One ended.
"This is not the first time we sing about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war", say the band.
No new music has been released yet, but Sabaton do have their own history-based YouTube channel to coincide with the new album.
“This is the biggest album we have taken on so far, there is so much depth and story around the songs that we never had before", says bassist Pär Sundström. "Expect many surprises as we have tried new things and we also went back in time to a concept we know a lot of you love. The Great War has been created side by side with the Sabaton History Channel to make 2019 the most exciting year in our 20 year history.”
Following The Great War's release on July 19, Sabaton will headline Bloodstock festival in Derbyshire on August 9-11. Get your Bloodstock tickets now.
