Linkin Park announce first Australian shows in 12 years
For the first time since the 2013 edition of Soundwave, Linkin Park will be heading back to Australia…
The first bands for next year’s German mega-fests Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have been revealed, with plenty more still to come.
Twin German mega-fests Rock am Ring and Rock im Park have just announced their first wave of bands for next year’s line-up.
Giant rock and metal superstars like Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Volbeat, Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Sabaton and Papa Roach will all play across the June 5 – 7, 2026 weekender, as well as Electric Callboy, The Offspring, A Perfect Circle, Architects, BABYMETAL, Hollywood Undead, Ice Nine Kills, LANDMVRKS, Marteria, Social Distortion, Three Days Grace, Trivium and Within Temptation.
The festivals have announced that 70,000 fans have already picked up their Rock am Ring tickets for the Nürburgring race track, while 40,000 are heading to Zeppelinfeld for Rock im Park – both are records, so it’s already clear that next year is going to be big.
Of course, these huge European events can sometimes be a good indication of who might be around to play in the UK next summer, too – with Rock am Ring and Rock im Park happening the weekend before Download Festival. We’ll be getting an announcement about the time and date for the big DLXXIII reveal at some point in October, so watch this space.
