Power metal kings Sabaton have just announced details of their mighty 11th album, Legends.
Due out on October 17 via Better Noise, bassist Pär Sundström teases that the record features “11 tracks that cover 11 iconic legendary stories. This time we look further back in history than we have the past few years, going to times that I think are very exciting. As someone who’s always been into the history of the Middle Ages, knights and the legends of old, it felt incredible to finally bring those stories into the Sabaton universe.”
Meanwhile, a press release promises that Legends is ‘a rock odyssey that transcends time and borders’, looking at the stories of everyone from Joan of Arc to Napoleon Bonaparte, Julius Caesar and Miyamoto Musashi.
To mark the announcement, Sabaton have dropped two new singles, The Duelist and Lightning At The Gates, which you can hear below:
