Fresh from an unbelievable 20th anniversary UK and European headline tour, Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall has done just about the opposite of putting his feet up and taking things easy.

The Aussie vocalist headed back to the Sydney Opera House this week – the site of the band’s historic black-tie show from June – and rather than simply using the front door to get in, he opted to rappel from a Parkway-branded helicopter onto a 60cm square platform on top of the landmark venue. Footage will reportedly be used for the band’s upcoming 2026 concert film Home.

Speaking to news.com/au about the feat, Winston joked that, “This is literally the stunt that they said no to Tom Cruise for but somehow Parkway Drive ended up doing it. They said no to us for about nine months, telling us all the things we would have to do to do it, and we persisted to the point they said yes, you can do it and then no-one else will ever be able to do it again.”
