Almost six months on from AI (Save Yourself), Kid Bookie has just started teasing his next single – and it’s sounding deliciously heavy.
The London star has revealed that new track Scars will be arriving on April 24, and it promises to have “one of the coldest breakdowns of the year” according to the man himself. Good Charlotte guitarist Billy Martin has also taken to X/Twitter to reshare the same snippet of Scars and reveal, “New song I worked on with Bookie! It’s so good.”
Presumably the single will be taken from Kid Bookie’s highly-anticipated album Songs For The Living // Songs For The Dead, which is due out this year via Marshall. Giving Kerrang! a peek at the LP back in September, he told us: “This record cements that I do belong here. Rock music is my everything and I feel like this album can push that sound to people who don’t listen to shit like that. That’s what is important to me. It’s okay to express yourself in nuanced ways, not limit it to any type of facet. This sound can speak as much as anything else, so don’t be afraid of sounds or what your mum thinks about it – you’ve got to get to grips that sometimes your mum might be wrong.”
