Who are Slipknot’s fans?
We head down to Slipknot’s Here Comes The Pain tour in Manchester to meet the Maggots that had their lives changed forever by nine masked men from the cornfields…
It appears the follow-up to .5: The Gray Chapter is currently in creation…
As promised by frontman Corey Taylor late last year, it looks as though Slipknot have hit the studio to carry on working on their as-yet-untitled new record.
With a summer 2019 album release pencilled in – as well as a whole summer of huge European festival tour dates – the Iowa titans' leader poster a selfie from the studio on Instagram last night with the caption: "Guess what we’re doin…?" Hmmm… we wonder?
Given that percussionist Clown recently told Kerrang! that the band are "all ready to go", this is all looking extremely promising. “Shit’s happening. It’s on," he said. "Everybody is so excited. It’s even better that Corey Taylor is really excited, because he does a lot of work, goes out with Stone Sour, does solo gigs and solo things – from books, to award shows. Whatever he’s doing, he does a lot. And it’s always awesome to feel his excitement. Most people in his situation would be like, ‘I’m gonna take a year off’, but he’s got a certain demeanour right now for Slipknot. And that feels awesome. And that’s how it feels now with all the guys. We have a schedule, and it’s fucking hardcore, and there’s a lot of things going on inside that schedule.”
