New IDLES is finally here! Originally teased under the guise of a workout video, the Bristol punks have unveiled a new single, Mr. Motivator, with a sweaty and energetic clip to accompany it.
"We want to start this journey with a means to not only encapsulate the album’s sentiment, but to encourage our audience to dance like no-one is watching and plough through these dark times with a two-ton machete of a song and the most beautiful community of scumbags ever assembled," says frontman Joe Talbot. "Let’s go. All is love.”

The track is taken from IDLES' highly-anticipated third album – the follow-up to 2018's Joy As An Act Of Resistance – with more information on that coming soon.
What we do know about album number three so far is that it was in the process of being mixed back in December, with producers Nick Launay, Adam ‘Atom’ Greenspan and Kenny Beats working on it.
“IDLES are the best band in the whole world,” enthused Kenny. “That’s what I said to them. I think this is a good lesson for anybody else who is pigeonholed or pushed into doing what they do best and only that. I heard IDLES and was like, ‘This is all I want to work on; this is all I want to do. These guys are the best.’ I got into their DMs and told them that and luckily we got to meet, and the proof is in the pudding. I care so much and I think they can tell. It has nothing to do with anybody knowing we’re working together, or money, or anything. I love what they’re doing I want to be a part so now everyone knows I’m a part of it.”
