Linkin Park to perform at the UEFA Champions League final
Linkin Park have remixed their mega-hit Numb in a way that is ‘inspired by UEFA Champions League football’, and will be performing at the Munich Kick Off Show on May 31.

Last week, Linkin Park were up to even more YouTube antics: following the kicking-off of a mammoth video countdown in August, they then sent the internet into meltdown last week by resetting said countdown once it hit zero, and going back upwards…
Since then, of course, the band – Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Rob Bourdon – have confirmed that a proper announcement and Los Angeles fan event is happening on Thursday, September 5.
But their fans are still keeping watch over everything, naturally, and right before the second 100-hour count-up (?) finished recently, a blurry blue and purple image appeared with one minute to spare. Then, according to Reddit, a brief audio snippet was played.
The grand countdown may be over, but the original ‘ø’ YouTube video is still up. It’s confirmed that it’ll go live once more on September 5 at 11pm BST (which is 3pm PDT) – presumably for a livestream of this mysterious LA event? We can probably speak for every rock and metal fan ever when we say: hurry the fuck up, Thursday…
