Halsey drops punky new single, safeword, with S&M-themed video

Following last year’s varied album The Great Impersonator, Halsey has gone punky again on their brand-new single safeword.

Unsurprisingly given its title, the New Jersey musician’s new effort has a big focus on BDSM, from its extremely NSFW video to lyrics like, ‘I’m not a criminal, I’m just a wild child / I’m not a bad girl, I just like it wild style.’

Before the video premiered, Halsey warned fans on social media that it was “not safe for work. Or the bus. Or brunch with your parents. Or your jealous boyfriend. Enjoy.”
