Green Day side-project The Coverups announce 2025 London show
Surprise! Billie Joe Armstrong will be back in London next month for another special show with his side-project The Coverups.
Green Day have announced they’ve got a “cool, creamy, and, crucially, very green” limited-edition drink on the way with Grind Coffee.
Fresh from their biggest show ever in the capital this weekend, Green Day have revealed that they’re teaming up with London coffee brand Grind.
The band are teasing a brand-new ‘limited edition ready-to-drink Iced Matcha Latte’, which they describe as ‘cool, creamy, and, crucially, very green’.
“From the East Bay to East London…” they announce in a video teaser. “Introducing an extremely unlikely but great match(a). In honour of the Saviors 2024 tour landing in London, Green Day and Punk Bunny Coffee have teamed up with UK coffee brand Grind to create a limited edition ready-to-drink Iced Matcha Latte. It’s cool, creamy, and, crucially, very green.”
It’s not available just yet – but they add that it’s “coming very soon” to grind.co.uk, so watch this space.
This Iced Matcha Latte is also a collab via Green Day’s own Punk Bunny Coffee, which was re-launched in May.
“I’m stoked to be an owner of a very cool specialty coffee roasting company here in the U.S,” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. “And grateful for our co-owners and the amazing people who help us blend badass coffee, just how we like it. It’s going to be a big year for Green Day. We’ll be playing shows across the globe and Punk Bunny Coffee will be fuelling the way, backstage and on our busses.”
