Taken from next month’s Warning (25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition), Green Day have unveiled a live version of Blood, Sex And Booze from Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe in 2001.
Green Day have released a throwback live performance of Blood, Sex And Booze from Japan.
Captured at Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe on March 18, 2001, the song is available on streaming services now as well as the upcoming 25th anniversary deluxe edition of Warning. That release will include a brand-new remaster of Green Day’s sixth album, plus various demos, B-sides, live tracks (like Blood, Sex And Booze) and more.
In other news, last month the band premiered their comedy movie New Years Rev at the Toronto International Film Festival. Other than that and Warning’s celebration, though, things might be quiet in the Green Day camp for a little while now, with the band having recently wrapped up their incredible two-year Saviors Tour.
Before headlining Download Festival in June, we asked frontman Billie Joe Armstrong if there was a temptation to keep the Saviors era steamrolling on.
“I think we’ll be done by the end of this year,” he said. “It’s a good time, and we’re not gonna try to do anything like a victory lap or be overbearing, or cash in, in any way. It’s like, ‘This has been a really great time for us, and so let’s leave it at a great time and then go home.’ And get back to being bored!”

Going into the release of Warning back in 2000, Billie Joe told K! that, “There’s a sense of freedom about this record. I think we’ve gone to some places that we’ve never been before.”
