Perturbator, The Haunted, Pig Destroyer, Warning and more announced for Damnation 2025
The Brit metal fest's 20th birthday is already looking like one of the best editions ever
Get ready for a very special set from Unearth at this year’s celebration of all things heavy…
Damnation Festival have announced the final three bands for this year's shindig, taking place at Manchester BEC on November 3 – 4. Joining the already-stacked bill of what's become the biggest indoor metal fest in Europe, Boston metalcore champs Unearth will be performing The Oncoming Storm in full for the only time ever, while Scouse deathsters Crepitation have also been added to the Saturday.
Meanwhile, Brit black metal outfit Ninkharsag have been added to Friday's Night Of Salvation, alongside special sets from Sigh, Deadguy, Akercocke and more.
On the Unearth booking, festival boss Gav McInally says, "Watching the beautiful carnage unfold during [Converge's] Jane Doe last year, it got us thinking how we could up the ante and get our 40-year-old moshers windmilling out of retirement again to relive their youth.
"The fact it's Unearth playing The Oncoming Storm in the late afternoon when everyone is still full of energy, is going to be a sight to behold.
"Those riffs on The Great Dividers, Predetermined Sky and False Idols were the soundtrack to many of our lives 20 years ago so it's a real honour to have Unearth perform the album once and once only, at Damnation."
The rest of the bill for A Night Of Salvation features Enslaved, Katationia, Heriot, Celestial Sanctuary, Inhuman Nature and The Sun's Journey Through The Night and more.
Saturday, meanwhile, includes headliners Electric Wizard, Amenra, Anaal Nathrakh, Khemmis, Undeath, Julie Christmas, Ohhms, Rotten Sound, Strigoi and Kurokuma among others, as well as second sets from Katatonia, Enslaved, Sigh and Deadguy.
