Damnation Festival have announced a further three bands for their 20th birthday bash this November.

Having recently confirmed headliners Napalm Death and Corrosion Of Conformity, Manchester's heaviest happening have just added hardcore legends Deadguy, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die and Canadian black metal squadron Spectral Wound.

They join an already heaving bill, featuring Perturbator, High On Fire, The Haunted, Pig Destroyer, special album sets from Warning and Wiegedood, and the reunion of UKHC bruisers Stampin' Ground, among many others.

"Spectral Wound are one of the most in-demand black metal bands in the world right now, especially with our fanbase, so we had to tempt them over from Canada for our 20th anniversary party," says festival big boss Gav McInally. "Our plan is to have them close the Cult Never Dies Stage on Sunday, alongside Wiegedood, for a three-hour barrage of the finest black metal.

"TWIABP live is an incredible prospect in any given year but with their new, more aggressive, direction being teased on singles from their forthcoming record, this set could be particularly lively. We're absolutely delighted to welcome them to Damnation for the first time."

On Deadguy, who pulled a double shift at last year's bash, he added: "Those who attended in 2023 will recall being promised old and new Deadguy material, but it didn't quite go to plan. So we have the metalcore legends back for a set that will deliver the classics alongside the equally chaotic brilliance of their new album.

"This line-up is the best we've ever put together, with six more incredible bands to come, and as a result ticket sales are the best we've ever seen.

"Don't miss out on the metal party of the year."
