From Dio to Sleep Token: The icons who inspired Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale
For more than 15 years, Lzzy Hale has been a hero to a whole generation of rock’n’roll fans. So we asked the Halestorm star who she looks up to…
Following BMTH in the first game, Hideo Kojima has seemingly got Sleep Token in for the highly-anticipated Death Stranding 2: On The Beach…
Fresh from their Download headline debut, it’s looking like Sleep Token are on the new soundtrack for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Ahead of Hideo Kojima’s new game’s arrival on PlayStation 5 this week (June 26), fans have spotted that Vessel and co.’s music is going to be included somehow, as a JB Hi-Fi review reads that the soundtrack “is banger-heavy, with the likes of Radiohead, Sleep Token, and Kate Bush mixing it up with original songs and soaring, atmospheric instrumental score components.”
It makes sense, given that on social media lately, Hideo has revealed that he’s been listening to their latest album Even In Arcadia. And of course the video game design titan asked Bring Me The Horizon to write Ludens for the first game in 2019 – which was a total honour for the band, with frontman Oli Sykes telling us, “To be honest, there was a part of me that was like, ‘Am I fanboying too much? Is this actually a bit embarrassing?!’ (Laughs) For anyone that knows the game, I’ve really gone overboard.”
A description of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach reads: “Embark on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA. Sam – with companions by his side – sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected? Step by step, legendary game creator Hideo Kojima changes the world once again.”
Stay tuned, then, to find out what song has been used…
