Slipknot reveal summer 2025 European tour
Slipknot will be taking over Europe’s rock and metal fests next June, as well as playing some headline dates of their own.
What are Slipknot planning in 2020?
A mysterious Slipknot poster has been spotted at this year's Download Festival. Situated amongst the many other ads for upcoming tours and albums, a single black rectangle has been been posted, with the Slipknot logo and the simple words "Live.2020."
Could this mean what we think it means?
Slipknot are headlining tonight's festival as part of their epic trek across Europe, before the Knotfest Roadshow takes over North America this summer. So is this poster a hint that the masked Iowans will return to the UK next year?
Earlier this week we reported that Slipknot were being approached to put on Knotfest shows throughout Europe.
“The first one is in Clisson, France, the day before Hellfest starts,” the ’Knot's long-term manager Cory Brennan told Music Week. “You buy a separate ticket to Knotfest and a separate ticket to Hellfest. We’re at 40,000 tickets, and it’ll sell out. Now we’re getting approached about doing Knotfest in Germany, Switzerland, and throughout Europe.”
Is this just a cheeky teaser for a Knotfest next year? Will we be getting a full-blown tour in 2020? Or is there potentially a live album to come? We guess we'll find out soon!
Slipknot's new album We Are Not Your Kind is out August 9.
