Congratulations are in order for Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor and Cherry Bombs' Alicia Dove, who just got engaged!
The happy couple announced the news on social media over the weekend, with Alicia revealing on Twitter the adorable story of how Corey proposed: "After breakfast at home, as I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring. Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats, nothing fancy. It was fucking perfect."
Alicia also revealed of their journey together and how they first properly connected two years ago: "We kept running into each other and from just that alone he learned of CB. In 2017 he hit me up to tour bc he had seen us on the Buckcherry run. In building that tour together, we clicked intensely. We got pulled apart for a while, then came back together by the end of our tour."
In another tweet she admitted that she had "no idea it was coming", but Corey has been frequently gushing about their relationship online, recently posting: "I thought I was lucky in life. But I never knew what it was like to REALLY be lucky… til I found her. My Love. My Queen. L’adorilust."
Awwww! Congratulations, guys.
As well as now planning a wedding, Corey will be having a busy year with the ’Knot, releasing the follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter on August 9, and touring all across the world…
