System Of A Down add new stadium dates with Korn, A7X and Deftones
System Of A Down’s previously-announced stadium dates with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones have already sold out, with the band adding second nights in each city.
A select number of fans who have Avenged Sevenfold's Into the Ether NFT are getting meet-and-greets with the band for life!
Avenged Sevenfold have revealed that a random, select number of fans who have the band's Into The Ether NFT will be getting meet-and-greets with them for life.
The Huntington Beach metallers released 101 of the exclusive tokens back in May, with seven specifically having the attribute 'gold eyes'. Taking to Instagram, they've now announced that those who have the seven tokens will gain special access at future shows: “If you have ‘gold eyes’ you get into the meet and greet [at] any show you go to, forever," they say in the comments.
All Into The Ether NFTs feature previously unreleased music and artwork done by Cam Rackam.

Speaking on the Danny Wimmer Presents Twitch channel last week, frontman M. Shadows explained of NFTs and what he hopes to do with them in relation to the band (transcribed by Kerrang!): “I’ve been trying to introduce the NFT play to our fans, kinda slowly. We released an NFT with some unreleased music a few months ago, but we gave it out for free so people can get used to getting online. And the interesting thing about it is, there’s different camps that this all goes in to, but they’re almost like clubs of people. NFT grants you access into certain things, so what I want to eventually create – and we’re gonna create very soon – is a token that allows you to get no line into shows, free merchandise, free tickets for life, meet-and-greets whenever you want at the live setting. So all these attributes and traits are going to equal certain real-world utility.
“No bands have really caught on yet about how important NFTs, non-fungible tokens, can be to the whole thing that we do. Imagine owning your favourite band’s NFT and you have access to all these things you never had before, simply by having the token on your phone.”

In the same Louder Than Life / DWP interview, Matt said of the new Avenged album: "The reason we don’t say much about the music is because we find that every single word we say about it just gets spun off, and there’s no way to describe music; it’s like, 'Oh, it’s heavy, it’s fast…’ What are we gonna say about it?
"It’s a work of art that we’ve worked on for a long time, we had a bunch of personal things that we’ll explain later… but we’re booking shows for next summer, and the record will be out before then.”
