YouTuber Andrew Baena has answered the question, "what would the Deftones sound like if they tuned lower than drop D?", so you don't have to wonder any longer.

The Deftones are apparently back in the studio at the moment, not long ago a few Instagram posts from programmer and turntablist Frank Delgado showed guitarist Stephen Carpenter and bassist Sergio Vega hard at work on new jams. Those pics came after a photo of Stef from a couple of days ago on the band’s official Instagram, which was captioned with the hashtag #writing.
These come after a few from March, which showed the band in the studio for work on what will be the band’s ninth album, a follow-up to 2016’s Gore.
Very exciting!
