It’s been a few months since Turnstile played live, but frontman Brendan Yates hit the stage in New York earlier this week as part of The Ally Coalition’s 10th Annual Talent Show for an altogether different type of performance.
The fundraiser from TAC – which was founded by Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff and fashion designer Rachel Antonoff – saw everyone from Brendan to Sabrina Carpenter, Rachel Zegler, Trey Anastasio and Remi Wolf come together at the Skirball Center For The Performing Arts in aid of LGBTQ+ youth.
And Turnstile’s singer offered up two songs on the night with New York musician Liam Benzvi – the pair played a stripped-down version of GLOW ON favourite UNDERWATER BOI, and Liam’s own song Hiccup.
There’s no news yet on future Turnstile music following 2021’s aforementioned GLOW ON, but the band will be back in London next summer headlining Victoria Park.
