Watch blink-182's Travis Barker surprise viral TikTok drummer and daughter

In a heartwarming segment on The Drew Barrymore Show, blink-182's Travis Barker surprised TikToker Marcel Desobeau and his seven-month-old daughter Lane.

Marcel – who is also a firefighter and paramedic – has been bringing joy to thousands via the @heavymetalbaby account, as he and little Lane tackle songs by Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Papa Roach, Metallica and many more.

"We were just hanging out at the kitchen table one morning and I just randomly said, 'Hey, let's make a video!'" he tells Drew of how the whole series started. "We were just having fun at the kitchen table and, sure enough, here we are."

The huge Travis Barker fan was then surprised by the blink-182 legend on the show, with Travis thanking Marcel for his work throughout the pandemic as well as giving some handy advice for Lane: "I started playing drums when I was three or four," he says, "and we couldn't afford a drum kit but we just had pots and pans, and that was my drum set for years – for like a good three years.

"I mean, it seems like she already enjoys it, so that's a good sign!" he adds. "That's all I wanted to do – that's the only thing that put a smile on my face."
