Good Charlotte have unveiled a new single and video, Stepper.
The pop-punk gem follows last month’s equally great comeback single Rejects – both of which are taken from the band’s new record Motel Du Cap.
“Stepper is a song about showing up for life, for yourself and for the people you love,” explain Joel and Benji Madden. “Getting up every day and trying your best to make it, not just for your dreams but for the dreams you share with the people you love. Celebrate each other and everything you’ve been through together.”
Teasing what’s to come from album eight, Joel recently told Kerrang!: “There’s a lot of different stuff in there – there’s some slower stuff, and there’s some stuff that’s harder than Rejects. Rejects kind of sits in the middle – it’s a nice little middle-place with some heavy guitars but also some pop. A lot of our songs that are the most popular, if you listen to them, they’re kind of weird. They don’t fit, and they don’t sound like anyone else. And there’s a lot of that on this record. There’s a lot of personality and quirkiness!”
