Just because you're the biggest metal band on the planet and one of the most impressive catalogues in all of heavy music doesn't mean you can't still surprise fans. This weekend Metallica gave their track Here Comes Revenge its first live airing and it sounds huge.
Throughout Metallica's epic WorldWired tour (that has travelled all over the world and back again), the foursome have been playing cuts from latest album Hardwired... To Self-Destruct each night, dropping in different tracks here and there, and despite being over 100 shows into the tour, they can still throw in some surprises.
This weekend at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas, Metallica performed Here Comes Revenge (from 2016's Hardwired... To Self-Destruct) for the very first time. Slotted in between For Whom The Bell Tolls and Hit The Lights, the live debut was followed by the trademark doodles by Kirk and Rob.
