On the third anniversary of Chris Cornell's passing on May 18, The Pretty Reckless vocalist (and Soundgarden superfan) Taylor Momsen and Soundgarden/Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron shared a wonderful cover of Halfway There.

The two musicians joined forces remotely to take on the track from Soundgarden's 2012 album King Animal, simply writing, "A Tribute To Chris Cornell" in the video's description. But their shared history goes back much further than this clip, with Taylor performing with the grunge heroes at the I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell show last year, and Matt working with The Pretty Reckless on the making of their new album.

Last week, Taylor spoke to Kerrang! about the impact that Chris' passing had on her, with the band actually supporting Soundgarden at the Fox Theatre in Detroit the night he died.

“The right word is to say that I plummeted,” she said. “It crushed me. We cancelled all the touring. I wasn’t in a place to be public because it really devastated me, like I think it did to a lot of people. Everyone he touched was just crushed. I cancelled everything and said, ‘I can’t do this right now, I need time. I can’t go out every night and entertain an audience and pretend I’m super happy and okay.’ I wasn’t okay. So I stopped. We quit tour and went home to try and process what had happened.”
