Duff McKagan and Jerry Cantrell teamed up for an acoustic cover of A Satisfied Mind for Jimmy Carter's 96th birthday.
To celebrate Jimmy Carter's 96th birthday earlier this month, two titans of the rock world joined forces for a new cover: Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan and Alice In Chains' Jerry Cantrell.
The pair performed an acoustic rendition of Joe 'Red' Hayes and Jack Rhodes' much-covered classic A Satisfied Mind, which has been tackled by numerous stars and in different styles since its release over 50 years ago.

Duff and Jerry dedicated the song to the 39th president of the United States, who turned 96 on October 1.
“Duff McKagan and Jerry Cantrell would like to wish former president Jimmy Carter a happy 96th birthday and highlight all he’s done to help create a sustainable future for mankind!” reads their statement. “From putting solar panels on the roof of the White House to pioneering the growing of Empress (Paulownia) trees… which happens to be the wood Duff‘s guitar is made from in the video. Enjoy!”
