The Kerrang! staff’s top albums of 2024
You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
Hippies, robed cultists, a flute… Bring Me The Horizon’s video for AmEN! has got everything.
Having dropped the brilliant AmEN! – featuring Lil Uzi Vert and Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo – a couple of weeks back, and then played the shit out of it as their opening throw headlining Download, Bring Me The Horizon have now released a video for it. And it's bananas.
Featuring the band as a gang of fucked-up hippies, there's also a bunch of purple-robed occultists, psychedelic imagery, flashing lights and other stuff to mangle your eyes while you watch.
The song comes from their POST HUMAN: NeX GEn EP, due on September 15, part two in a proposed series of four.
Speaking to Kerrang! recently, Jordan Fish explained: “We’re on a journey of doing different types of records, which we set ourselves up to do thinking we’d get through it really quickly, and it hasn’t panned out that way for a number of reasons. We’re working on four Post Human records and we’ve been working on them all at the same time; one of the reasons why it’s taken longer is that we’ve done stuff for the third and fourth ones as well.
"The fourth one is where we want to explore the more heavy stuff, so in a way it limits how much we want to go heavy on this one. You don’t want them all to sound the same and you want to be confident in your conviction of going all-in on a style.”
Following the release, BMTH will hit the road in the UK in January 2024, alongside Bad Omens, Static Dress and Cassyette. Catch them at:
