Bullet For My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck has spoken about the potential fate of six tracks left over from the sessions for their recent, self-titled sixth album.
Speaking to NME, Matt says that the six songs didn’t fit with the direction of the rest of the album, but they’re good enough that they should be allowed to be released under their own flag.
"They're part of the same writing and recording process,” he said. “Some of them are quite different and unique. We didn't want to put them on 'cause they were curvebally. But they were curvebally enough to have a spotlight on them post-album."
“We wanted the album to be a really solid, cohesive body of work from front to back, and we didn't want to throw too many creative curveballs in the album. We thought it was actually better to keep them off for standalone singles post-record, and maybe have some kind of really crazy EP maybe at the end of the cycle, just so people can hear them, so they get the light of day. They're heavy, they're interesting, they're pushing boundaries, and they're super-exciting."
The band have just been announced to appear at Bring Me The Horizon’s Malta Weekender in May, alongside Beartooth, PVRIS, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Nova Twins and Wargasm.
