Pendulum have just announced details of their first new album in a whopping 15 years.

The drum’n’bass kings will be dropping long-awaited LP Inertia – the follow-up to 2010’s Immersion – on August 22, and it’ll include guest spots from Bullet For My Valentine, WARGASM, Joey Valence & Brae, AWOLNATION, Scarlxrd and Hybrid Minds.

Frontman Rob Swire says of how the band are taking things to the next level on this album: “I was basically testing how far we could push Pendulum. Seeing what we could get away with. I always looked at The Prodigy as the benchmark. They started out as pure rave – breakbeat, hardcore – but they evolved. They became their own sound. You don’t even really associate them with breakbeat anymore. They just are The Prodigy.

“It’s the sound of Pendulum finding themselves again, and me figuring myself out to a certain extent. Break-ups do that – they strip things down and show you who you are. I’m just trying not to become the guy who needs to go through one just to make a record.”

They’re also marking the news with brand-new single Save The Cat, which you can check out below, and some summer live dates including headlining Milton Keynes Bowl on August 9 – get your tickets here.
