Travis Barker has spoken out about the new blink-182 album – and things are coming along very nicely indeed.
The drumming machine stopped by KROQ Radio (via Upset) to discuss the upcoming Musink Festival in the States, as well as that Matt Skiba-fronted new blink album…
“I’m excited,” he says. “I don’t want to reveal too much. I don’t know how many songs we’re gonna write before we say, ‘This is the group of 12 songs we’re putting on the album.’ We have 15 – 20 songs right now, but I really feel like it’s a process.”
“Just having someone like Matt [Skiba] who’s in the studio everyday is great,” Travis adds of the band’s new recording format. “You got to show up, that’s the first part. It’s just exciting. It’s a new chapter and we’re not striving for mediocrity, we’re looking to kill it. We’re gonna make a great album.”
The comments follow Travis’ confirmation that blink would be releasing their new full-length this year. Excited? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
