Following last year’s fantastic Keep Me Fed – which landed in the top 20 of Kerrang!’s 50 best albums of 2024The Warning have given us a little hint at where they want to go on their next record.

Speaking in the spring print edition of the magazine, the trio – Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra Villarreal Vélez – reflect on all they’ve accomplished in their Keep Me Fed era, and what else is to come from the superstar band.

“I want to have more than one song in Spanish,” Pau teases, when asked about what The Warning want to do on a future album. “Let’s do that!” Ale agrees.

Showcasing their roots is something they’re clearly extremely proud of, with Pau explaining elsewhere in the interview: “When we have an appearance at a festival or someplace that rarely has Mexican guests, we do feel that we’re representing our country as a whole.”

The drummer adds that, “We try to paint our country in the nicest light possible, because we come from such a beautiful country with such beautiful culture and history and music. Mexican rock is a very specific genre that I hope people from other places of the world start discovering, because it’s such a rich genre with such rich history. For us to be able to participate in even a little tiny bit of it is great. Hopefully we get to open that door in people’s minds, for them to be curious about what else Latin America has to offer.”
