Very exciting and intriguing news… Spiritbox are in the studio with Jordan Fish.

The Canadian metalcore stars shared that they’re up to something with the former Bring Me The Horizon man, with guitarist Mike Stringer taking to Instagram to upload a sneaky video (with no sound, sadly) from their session.

Hopefully, what they’re working on is the follow-up to massive 2021 debut album Eternal Blue, and last year’s six-track The Fear Of Fear EP… but at this point it’s all a mystery. Of course, announcing his departure from Bring Me in December, Jordan said he was “focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production”, so he could be working on either (or both) of those things with Spiritbox.

Last summer, we asked Courtney LaPlante about making music and if they ever feel any pressure to stick to certain styles, to which the singer responded: “I don’t feel like we’ve been around long enough to disappoint anyone. We are just getting started, and we’re still figuring out what we are, and I don’t even know if I want to find out. I don’t care about genre, I just know we like making heavy music with low-tuned guitars. But I’m like, ‘Take me or leave me, this is what we sound like.’ I feel like a lot of bands are having fun with that too.”

Spiritbox will be back in the UK this summer supporting Korn – get your tickets now.
