Album review: Siiickbrain – My Masochistic Mind
Californian alt. electro songstress Siiickbrain plumbs oceans of fragile beauty and pounding anxiety from My Masochistic Mind...
Following last year’s debut album My Masochistic Mind, Siiickbrain is showing yet another side of her artistry with an acoustic EP – hear a preview of what’s to come with new single when i fall…
After catching our attention a couple of years back, and then releasing debut album My Masochistic Mind last December, the one and only Siiickbrain is back with even more new music.
The Californian alt. star has just announced details of her first-ever acoustic EP, Dizzy Spells, which will arrive this spring. And she exclusively tells Kerrang! that the record is her “most honest and intimate project to date”, and “directly showcases the challenges of a relationship while making music together”.
Dizzy Spells will include new single when i fall, which also features Shiloh Dynasty and No Love For The Middle Child. “Before this song when i fall was made,” Siiickbrain begins, “I had written the other songs during a period of time that we weren’t a couple, processing my emotions through songwriting – while most of the songs on the project I wrote to voice recordings of my partner playing guitar – each a unique process of its own that I look forward to sharing.”
