See Poppy perform the cost of giving up on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Poppy hit Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (Monday, March 10) for a truly excellent performance of the cost of giving up.

The singer and her band returned to the late-night talk show to play the Negative Spaces banger, marking her first time back since last year’s viral appearance there with Knocked Loose.

In the new print edition of Kerrang!, we asked Poppy about playing Suffocate for Jimmy back in November, and she explained that, “Bryan [Garris, Knocked Loose vocalist] texted me: ‘What are you doing next week?’ It was really exciting to see a hardcore band in that format and on that stage. The whole day went pretty fast. I remember walking in after the performance with my friend. He was a couple of steps ahead of me and he was like, ‘I think that was really important.’ And I said, ‘I think it was, too.’ It felt very electric and exciting. And the rain came right on cue.”
