Iron Maiden have announced their new touring drummer
Following Nicko McBrain’s retirement from touring, Iron Maiden have revealed that “a name familiar to many of our fans” will be stepping in next year.

Up the Irons! You can’t not love Iron Maiden. Even if you don’t like Iron Maiden, you love Iron Maiden. They’re too huge, too important not to.
And good god, they’ve done a lot, and so much of it is great. You could do a Greatest Hits album that was just songs about aeroplanes, and it would still completely rule.
How much can one listener possibly take in, though? With 40 years, 16 albums, three vocalists, around 18 thousand solos, record-breaking tours and a fair few Spitfires under their belts, there’s a hell of a lot of Maiden material out there.
